Character Series teen Bible studies
I believe the pre-teen to young teen
years are pivotal in a child's spiritual
life.  At this age the influences of
the world begin to compete strongly
for a kid's attention.  Young people
want to know if the things they
learned in Sunday School hold up
in the world of grown-ups.  That is
why I have written these small group
Bible study books for teens. It is my
prayer that many young teens will
discover the wonders of God's Word
for themselves and be motivated
to love and serve the
                                 Lord with their whole hearts.
Serving One Lord,
  Sherree Funk

Sherree Funk’s teen-oriented Bible studies are rooted in orthodox Biblical Christianity.  They are designed for easy use in small groups of teens led by a caring adult. The in-depth interactive workbook has the same engaging style found in the popular Beth Moore studies for women (with a lot less work.)   These studies are centered on Bible characters, not on contemporary issues.   By studying how strong Bible characters handled big issues, teens can learn how to face real-life challenges today.

Leaders are encouraged to emphasize a balance between personal study and group discussion.  Leaders can download helpful ideas for creative group activities from each product page.

Sherree Funk, Author

About me:

My name is Sherree Funk and I live in Sewickley, Pennsylvania with Jim, my wonderful husband of 27 years.  Our three children are all in college and beyond.   I love tennis, gardening and skiing in Colorado.  I lead Bible studies within my church and several small groups.

I grew up in California and attended UC Davis for a BS in Geology.  For my Masters in Geology, I attended the University of Washington.    I worked in the energy industry in Houston and New Orleans for nine years.  More recently I attended Asbury Theological Seminary for a Certificate in Christian Studies.

As valuable as these academic pursuits were, none were more valuable than my serious study of the Bible over 20+ years through BSF (Bible Study Fellowship), CBS (Community Bible Study), Disciple Bible Study, and a number of Beth Moore studies.  With my recommitment to Christ in 1985 came a hunger to know the Bible, and over the years as my knowledge grew, my desire to share that knowledge grew as well.

Sharing the Bible with small groups of adults, children, and teens has been my ministry for a long time.   For the past five years I have had the joy of working with middle and high school students.
