Small Group Teen Bible Studies

Why I write these Bible studies for teens:
I believe the young teen years are pivotal in a child's spiritual development.  At this age the world begins to compete strongly for students' attention and they are influenced as much by the screens they watch as by the words they hear.  Young people want to know if the stories they heard about in Sunday School hold up in the world of grown-ups.  
So I write these studies with a prayer that many young teens will discover the wonders of God's Word for themselves, and will decide to love and serve the Lord with their whole hearts. 
Character Series teen Bible studies
Lydia of Philippi looks at the difference the gospel of Jesus Christ made in the life of a capable, confident businesswoman.  

Joshua is a study in leadership development.  

Ruth and Boaz is the story of an unlikely union and how God used it for his eternal purposes.

Sherree Funk’s teen-oriented Bible studies are rooted in orthodox Biblical Christianity.  They are designed for easy use in small groups of teens led by a caring adult. The in-depth interactive workbook has the same engaging style found in the popular Beth Moore studies for women (with a lot less work.)   These studies are centered on Bible characters, Lydia, Joshua and Ruth/Boaz, not on contemporary issues.   By studying how strong Bible characters handled big issues, teens can learn how to face real-life challenges today.
